WORKING WITH OUR COMMUNITY!!!
Panash participated in our 1st Notting Hill Carnival in 2019. It was an amazing day and experience for the community and although things didnt go exactly to plan, we made the most of the day and pledged to return in 2020.
Due to the pandemic, LNHC was cancelled as a live street festival. However, the organisers wanted to put on a show to be broadcast on Carnival weekend.
Panash were among some of the UK's top Steel Orchestras to be featured in this show, recorded at London's iconic Royal Albert Hall and we were proud to take part.
We will continue to support the Carnival when it returns to the streets in 2022.
Panash has been working in partnership with local peers, Croydon Steel Orchestra (CSO) since 2018, competing in the Notting Hill UK Panorama Competition.
Under the direction of Paul Dowie, CSO's panorama side is made up of players and instruments from a number of established Steel bands including, Croydon, Panash, Pandemic, Pannatical and Sussex Steel.
It is our intention to continue working with Croydon for the main Panorama as well as develop our own entries for the Junior Panorama in the future.
